They offer 37 different types of courses at the certificate level.Yearly there are about 18,000 training opportunities. Of which Indians should secure at least 10% which is about 1,800. But we must apply in large numbers. Currently with an Indian minister heading the ministry, there would be greater emphasis placed to secure places for the Indian youths.
Of the 37 different courses the most popular are electrical, automotive, computer networking, printing and foundry. But there is a wide range and the 18 month training is hands on including 3 months of industrial placement. You may call call 04-595 6000 for details at Arumugam Pillai Industrial Training Institute.
